As we navigate the complex world of fashion, it’s essential to strike a balance between personal expression, industry responsibility, and environmental sustainability.
Dancing can be classified as a form of art that many people enjoy not only as a recreational pursuit but also as an integral component of their physical and mental health. The activity is usually performed by the rhythmical movement of the body in a particular rhythm, either in a specified location or even in some cases travelling from one place to another.
Also, it is important to note something about dancing which many individuals tend to overlook, and that is dancing is primarily a participatory activity, although it can be performed as a theatrical art. However, in order for someone to understand and appreciate the activity, such an individual must realize that dancing goes through a progressive academic process, generally referred to as classical dance training.
This comprises of three vital levels in which someone starts with learning the basic steps, then more steps, and finally working on building up the knowledge of various dance techniques and a good understanding of one’s own body. This ultimately leads to an activity which promotes knowledge of the body and mind that has been studied for many years and it has recently been given a label.
Ergonomics is the study of body movement, primarily through the use of scientific methods and anatomic knowledge. It is evident that the human body is capable of an infinite variety of movements executed through the many movable joints, especially those of the appendicular skeleton. Such movements are controlled by the muscular system, which can be classified as skeletal, smooth, or cardiac.
On the other hand, the modern definition of dancing is a style of performing a series of one or more rhythmic and patterned bodily movements, usually to music. It is served to be a form of expression, social interaction, and many more. Such definition does not appear to be valid or expressive enough to communicate the true, vibrant nature of dance that has everyone curious about it. Under the definition of dancing, as outlined above, a series of what we can refer to as well-accepted activities and bodily movements which constitute dancing are categorized.
These include things like the movement of the body in a certain rhythm, usually in a given rhythm and diversely in a variety of ways, movement whose timing is in music, movement where it is connected with a partner that enhances the sense of a relationship between partners, and finally movements which either away or at a particular location. Moreover, other types of activities whose movement pattern and rhythm satisfy the above requirements in one way or another may be considered as dancing too.

Popular actress, Regina Daniels, has once again left fans and self-proclaimed ‘online in-laws’ confused amid rumours about her marriage to billionaire politician, Ned Nwoko.
Nwoko had, in a lengthy poem celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary, professed his undying love for Regina while rubbishing speculations of their marital woes.
He wrote, “Six years and counting, and what do they see? A love untamed, wild and free. Regina, my fire, my sweetest delight. Through every storm, you’ve held me tight.”
Nwoko also mentioned that Regina was expecting a third child. “Just when they thought they had their say, Baby number three is on the way! A new heartbeat, a love so grand, another blessing in my hand. Let them talk, let them guess, while we live, while we bless. For at the end, when curtains close, it’s us, my love, that victory knows,” he wrote.
Responding, Regina wrote, “Oooh my king! The greatest man in Igbo land! Dike’m! Obim! Ezigbo dim Oma! What did I do to deserve this honour? 10,000 women by your right, 20,000 by your left, and I will stand gidigba because what we share will remain the first in history”
However, her response elicited diverse reactions, with some fans applauding her response to Ned’s poem, seeing it as a declaration of loyalty, while some others felt that her response was either laced with sarcasm or a deliberate performance for damage control.
One Instagram user, @queenofnaija, said, “Regina understands the game. She knows how to keep her man. Respect to her!” Anibenkam wrote, “I’m excited my baby, they will be tired of talking without evidence, all we see is love.”
But not everyone was convinced, with @kingsleyvibes writing, “This sounds too forced. Sis, blink twice if you need help!”
Yet, some believe that Ned’s post was orchestrated by his PR team to douse the Chika Ike pregnancy rumours.
An Instagram user, @fola_123, wrote, “I don’t believe this man wrote that poem. This looks like something a PR team cooked up to do damage control.”
Another added, “They want us to forget about Chika Ike’s alleged baby. Nice try!”
Meanwhile, despite Regina’s response to her husband, she had yet to return his name, “Nwoko” to her bio, rather retaining her maiden name, “Daniels”; even though she had once proudly flaunted “Mrs Nwoko” on her profile

Speaking on ‘The Breakfast Club’, Davido shared that his team has noticed a change in his behaviour since he tied the knot, so much so that some have jokingly complained that things have become “boring.”
“The other day, I walked in on my boys talking, and I asked what the conversation was about. They said, ‘Boss, we’re not having any fun. You’ve changed. That came with a lot of challenges,” he said. “But I’m good now. Trust me, I’ve been at the highest of the highest. The best time is when there’s no problem at all. Grammy-nominated singer Davido has recounted his first encounter with 50 Cent and how he got snubbed by the American rapper.
Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Davido said he was 14 at the time and his family was in Las Vegas celebrating his older brother’s 21st birthday.
Davido, a fan of Lloyd Banks, took a picture with him.
However, when he approached 50 Cent for a photo, he was bluntly refused.
Years later, Davido reminded 50 Cent of the incident and the rapper responded with a nod to Davido’s current success, saying, “You are here now, right?”
He said: “The first time I ever saw 50 Cent, I was a kid in Vegas. I was like ‘can I have a picture’, he said, ‘No.’
“My brother was turning 21, my dad took everybody to Vegas but I was 14 so I can’t do nothing. They were doing the whole thing. I was just sitting in the lobby. I used to love Lloyd Banks, he was my favourite. So, I saw him and I went to him and took a picture with him. Then I saw 50 Cent, I went to him and said in Nigerian accent, ‘Wow! 50 Cent, I love you. Can I have a picture?’ He said, ‘No’ and just walked off.
“I told him about the incident years later when we met as colleagues and he said, ‘You are here now, right?”.
The two have since collaborated with 50 Cent bringing Davido on stage as a surprise guest performer at his Madison Square Garden show in New York.
They’re set to co-headline a concert in London later this year, alongside Mary J. Blige.
