Perhaps you believe an artist is only one of the masterful visual or auditory creators in the realm of painting, drawing, music-making and the like. Maybe you consider a “real” artist an individual who maintains financial stability from selling pieces or prints or, as is more common, perpetually struggles?
What if the term “artist” could stretch, could bend and expand to hold a wider diversity of individuals—as much as the word “human?”
An artist is a communicator, a present and aware chooser of the quality and quantity of one’s (his and her and their) own participation in relationship with energies, or resources. Ok – that was maybe a lot; let’s work backward.
Resources or energies make up the wide spectrum of colors, textures, patterns, sounds, and every element or principle in the practice of art. This extends to invisible, intangible feelings, thoughts, concepts and the like that are likewise translatable. Consider sight as its own language, and taste another – what would the color chartreuse taste like? What color expresses petrichor, that invigorating scent after a summer rain? What sound evokes the thrill of epiphany when an idea reaches a new profound clarity? What does a thought look like?
It depends. And contrast provides context in depicting the relationships that emerge between things. It begins with oneself. Artists are cartographers mapping their inner-child and parent voices, and every other relationship spiraling out from this: the lover, the friend, and the stranger.

It provides a platform for individuals to express their ideas and perspectives freely and encourages collaboration.
For some people, planning a party can be a hassle. It can be expensive, time consuming, and frustrating when it doesn’t turn out as planned. I have always had a love for planning parties. I just recently planned one for my gender reveal.
The steps I take are pretty simple, but overall gave me an amazing turn out at my party. To plan a successful party, you must set a date and time, buy your supplies that are needed, and invite your friends and family.
The first and perhaps most important step in planning a successful party is setting a date and a time. This may be the first step but it is certainly not the easiest. Setting a date can take weeks, even months to do. You never know when everyone is free or if there is an event coming up that you have to attend.
Avoid planning the party in the months with holidays or months where there is a big event coming up. Ask around to your friends and family to see if they have anything planned and are free to come. You most definitely want the people closest to you to come
There are many styles of music and many various ways in which to enjoy them. This is only rivaled by the number of people on the planet that have invented them. Through out history the various evolutions of traditions have used music as part of their cultures, ceremonies, and religions. However, one thing has always been unique to all of these things – the musicians themselves – the ones making the music. These unsung misfits have endured time and are the common thread throughout history that has taken the time to ponder this wonderful realm. The thinkers that have invested much of their lives to inventing and reinventing the muse.
Many people listen to music in many different ways. They create a style or listening pattern that brings out the most enjoyment for them. However, just being a listener of music only scratches the surface of the music enjoyment experience. There lies another layer or ‘dimension’ if you will underneath. This dimension is reserved for the one who receives ‘the spirit thought to inspires poets’. The musician creates as well as listens. He will ponder the music with a deeper appreciation, more feeling, and all done for the love of it.
Musicians are born just like anyone, but somewhere they notice something happening in their heads, like an inner orchestra that begins to play. It begins with one or more instruments, ringing distinctly and clearly inside their ‘third ears’. With time, this develops into a need to express that what is being played in their heads outside their heads. They become a player. Thus begins the road of learning to express, on a ‘physical device’ all the wonderful sounds and melodies they have invented and have yet to invent still in their heads.
The ear begins to develop a different way of listening. It becomes able to separate the sounds of various instruments and various melodies very precisely. The more the individual practices the better this gift becomes. Otherwise, frustration may set-in when the music inside, cannot be reproduced ‘physically’ on the outside.
