Afrobeats artist, Davido, has revealed that American R&B star, Chris Brown made a significant impact on his career.

The ‘Blow My Mind’ hitmaker said his career progressed after he met Breezy in 2018.
Davido shared the story of his first encounter with Chris Brown in a recent episode of the Bagfuel Brigade podcast.

He said, “Meeting Chris Brown changed my life. I met him in 2018. He had a Nigerian friend, one of his best friends.

“The friend called me one day on Facetime and my song was playing at the background, I asked where he was and he said he was at Chris Brown’s house. I was like, ‘What? Y’all playing my music?’ And he showed me Chris dancing to my song.

“He gave Chris Brown the phone, that was the first time we had conversation. A few months later, I went to America and linked up with Chris. From the first time we met, we just naturally became friends.”

Nigerian actress and model, Sandra Benede, has shocked social media users have revealing she is the mother of the twin daughters of Naira Marley.

Sandra Benede made this disclosure TikTok live interview with Tiktoker, Peller, which was shared by the Punch.Peller said during the livestream: “Let me tell you something, Naira Marley posted your daughters today. Sandra Benede has twins and didn’t tell anyone on social media. You kept it away from Jarvis and me, even though we told you everything. It’s a good thing—twins.” 

Why you dey expose me like this?” Sandra replied.

Peller went on to praise the children’s looks while commenting on their resemblance to Sandra.“They look so beautiful, their lips look like yours, their noses, everything,” Peller said.

While setting the records straight, Sanra Benede said;“Yes, I’m the mother of Naira Marley’s twin girls. I have kept it quiet for a long time, but I believe it’s time people hear it from me.”

NEW YORK, April 23 (Reuters) – Rapper Kendrick Lamar earned a leading 10 nominations for the American Music Awards on Wednesday, including nods for artist of the year and song of the year for his Grammy-winning diss track “Not Like Us.”

The song is part of a longstanding feud between Lamar and Canadian musician Drake, who has sued Universal Music Group for defamation over its release.

Post Malone landed eight nominations including favorite male country artist and favorite country album for “F-1 Trillion.” He previously won AMAs in rap/hip hop and pop/rock categories.

Next on the list were Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Shaboozey, who earned seven nominations each. Taylor Swift, who has picked up more AMAs than any other artist over her career, received six nominations this year.

Beyonce’s “Cowboy Carter,” which took the top award at this year’s Grammys, was nominated for album of the year and favorite country album at the AMAs. She also is in the running for favorite female country artist.

Fans will vote on the winners, which will be announced at a May 26 ceremony hosted by Jennifer Lopez. The show will be broadcast live on CBS (PARA.O), opens new tab.

Nominations were based on performances on the Billboard music charts, streaming and album sales, radio play and social media engagement.

Social media users have continued to react to an emotional video of popular Nigerian influencer, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, at the white wedding of his best friend, Priscilla Ojo, and Tanzanian musician, Juma Jux.

In the now-viral video on X, Enioluwa was seen breaking down in tears during the ceremony, which took place in Lagos on Saturday.

He appeared visibly emotional in the clip, as his mother tried to console him.

The food lover, who shares a close bond with the bride, seemed unable to hold back his emotions as he let it all out in the video.

The footage has continued to spark mixed reactions on social media, particularly on X.

While some netizens described his tears as unnecessary and a disgrace to masculinity, others argued that it is normal to be emotional when saying good-bye to a female best friend who is getting married.

Nigerian music icon, Innocent “2Baba” Idibia formally introduced his fiancée, Honourable Natasha Osawaru, to the Idoma traditional leadership and his hometown community on Monday.

The introduction took place during the Idoma Nation Peace and Unity Symposium at the Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo.

Dressed in traditional Idoma attire, 2Baba presented Osawaru, the former Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, to His Royal Majesty, the Och’Idoma V, and assembled kinsmen.

Following the palace ceremony, 2Baba and Osawaru proceeded to Okpokwu, his ancestral hometown in Benue State. There, he introduced her to local elders and community members, reaffirming his commitment and seeking familial endorsement.

This public introduction follows 2Baba’s recent proposal to Osawaru shortly after announcing his separation from wife Annie Idibia.

Popular Yoruba actress, Omotoyosi Jaiyesimi, has called out her colleague, Lizzy Anjorin, after she threw jabs at Iyabo Ojo.

Lizzy Anjorin took to her page a few hours ago to throw a jab at whom it may concern. She aimed at an unnamed individual she accused of being bitter over her 2020 wedding.

In the viral clip making rounds on social media, Anjorin alleged that the unnamed person went to disturbing lengths to sabotage her and her husband, including leaking her husband’s nude photos and even spreading false death rumours.

After the outburst from Lizzy, a lot of netizens have concluded that the jabs thrown by the actress wa directed at her long-time enemy, Iyabo Ojo.

Reacting to the situation, Omotoyosi Jaiyesimi has called out Lizzy Anjorin for going too far about Iyabo Ojo’s daughter Priscilla Ojo’s wedding.

Omotoyosi Jaiyesimi asked her senior colleague to stop comparing her own wedding to that of Priscilla Ojo whom she can give birth to.In her statement, she said, “I don’t put mouth in what doesn’t concern me but this is getting too much Lizzy Anjorin. Imagine comparing your wedding to a child you can birth?”

Nollywood veteran Joke Silva has spoken about what led her to marry Olu Jacobsher husband, inspite of the 20 year age difference.

The 62 year old actress got married to her husband in 1985 and the couple have been together ever since.

In a recent interview, Joke Silva revealed that she married her husband out of love without considering the 20 year age gap. Joke Silva also revealed that her decision was against that of her father who was against the union because of the age difference.

While describing her husband as a gorgeous person, Joke Silva recalled her experience before tieing the knot with Olu Jacobs

“I was in love with him. As simple as that. And he was such a very gorgeous person.I remember one of my sisters telling in 1984 when I came to Nigeria with him [Olu Jacobs] and they met, she called me aside and said, ‘Joke, this is the man to take to daddy.’ Initially, my dad had issues with the fact that he [Olu Jacobs] was older but my mum was like, well, this is the person they know me with, and then her parents had that kind of age gap as well. 

So, she agreed for us to get married.” Joke Silva stated

The Veteran and her husband who is now 82 years old have two children together.
