Festivals have always been a significant part of human life. In fact, it is the one that brings about a symbol of social cohesion and best way to enjoy art and various cultural activities. Generally, a festival is regarded as a day of celebration and is of a religious or cultural nature. It is a day that is not like any other day.
It is not just about time off work and for merrymaking, but also a time for religious worship and for giving thanks. Most festivals have their basis on religious or ‘great and hero’s people. Every festival tells a message of victory, peace, and the love of the deity, who is remembered at the festival. Every festival has a definite set purpose and it is the focus in part the whole festival. Most festivals have a good standard of the art of technology of illumination used in the icon work.
The placing of icon in the temple, and moving in procession at the final stage perform the worship with light and music. Festivals involve in harmony of arts, people, music, dance, and drama. Historically, festivals have been found to be very effective tools in teaching. For example, in the teaching of politics, festivals can be a focal point in a pioneer campaign that established a regime and tried to gambit popular loyalty.
