Jude Okoye, the elder brother and former manager of Paul and Peter Okoye of the defunct music group, P-Square, has regained his freedom from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

PUNCH reports that the EFCC arraigned Judealongside his company, Northside Music Limited, on charges of laundering ₦1.38billion, $ 1 million, and £34,537.59.

Paul, popularly called RudeBoy of Psquare, announced his release in a series of videos shared on his Instagram story on Wednesday.

He wrote, “Jude is finally out after 2months + .. all their efforts to frustrate his bail has finally collapsed. Welcome home brother #judeengees. And happy birthday. Welcome back blood.”

He also disclosed that a celebration is being held for Jude’s release.

Recall that after Jude’s arraignment in February, Paul stated that he would not abandon his elder brother as he blamed his twin, Peter, for Jude’s legal troubles and detention.

Last week, Peter narrated to the Federal High Court in Lagos how Jude secretly registered a new company in his wife’s name and used it to divert royalties belonging to P-Square.

The court adjourned the case to June 4 for cross-examination. After testifying in the case, Peter opened upabout enduring over two decades of betrayal and manipulation.

“Don’t let ‘family’ be the reason you’re drowning in silence. I did – for over 20 years and it almost cost me everything. But now I know better – love doesn’t manipulate, loyalty doesn’t betray, and family doesn’t steal from you.

“Family that steals and breaks you isn’t family at all. Real family doesn’t drain you, shame you, discriminate against you, or ignore your pain,” he wrote.
