The old school costume party held at Lens Polytechnic Offa earlier today was a grand success, featuring a range of exciting activities that brought the campus to life. The event commenced with an opening prayer led by the Dean of Art and Information in person of Mrs. Kehinde Adeniran. Setting a positive tone for the festivities. The MC, welcomed guests and students, paving the way for a fun-filled afternoon.
The MC for the event, Mr. Gidado of of the lecturer in lens polytechnic Offa, played a pivotal role in keeping the energy levels high. He introduced the guest of honor, the proprietor of Lens Polytechnic Offa, Dr. Yisa Azeez, as well as the Head of Department and other faculty members.
The live band performance on stage added to the excitement, showcasing the talents of students and staff alike. The event also featured a talent show segment, where students displayed their skills in various areas, including music, Rap, breakdance among others.
In his address, the proprietor emphasized the importance of cultural appreciation and exchange. He encouraged students to learn about and celebrate different cultures, highlighting the richness of diversity. Dr. Yisa Azeez also announced plans to share foods stuff for 400 students, promoting unity and understanding among the students. His speech was well-received, and students looked forward to the cultural exchange.
A highlight of the event was a poem (Ewi) recitation by Zainab Adewuyi, which captivated the audience. The students and staff appreciated the proprietor’s gesture of providing foodstuff for the students, showcasing his commitment to their welfare. The event concluded on a high note, with attendees expressing gratitude for the memorable experience.
The old school costume party was a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of the organizing committee and the participation of students and staff. It served as a platform for cultural exchange, talent showcase, and bonding, making it a memorable event for all involved.
